Singing "Happy Birthday"

Well, from singing the blues, to singing Happy Birthday. Sam celebrated his first
birthday with grandparents, aunts and great aunts and uncles and second cousins.
But I think the person most excited about the birthday, was Grace. She was excited
that her cousin Jocelyn was coming over, and that we were going to eat cake. We
had a nice dinner of Lasagna rolls, salad and garlic bread, followed by two cakes.
Courtney and Colton celebrated Delilah's first birthday a few days early.
To our sweet little Sam, Happy First Birthday!

Singing the "Blues"

Well, I'm back home from South Carolina, wishing I'd stayed another half a week. It
was very hard leaving Melissa and family behind. I have discovered that it's much
harder leaving small grandkids, because I wonder if they understand that you are
leaving when you tell them you are, and that you will be back in "two weeks". Do
they get confused or wonder "Where did Grandma go"? Plus, it is exciting times
when there are new Grandchildren born. And the love you feel for them is more
than I thought possible. And Stella was so good for me when Melissa was in the
hospital. It kind of surprised me that she wasn't freaked out because her Mommy
and Daddy weren't at home in the morning when she woke up. It was just such a
sweet time for me to be able to take care of her, and have that special time with her.
And to have that time with our new little grandchild Sterling..... Priceless.
Another fun part of the trip was staying with Karen Rozmus. She always makes me
feel so welcome, and it was just another thing to look forward to at the end of each
day.
I just wanted to post a few more pictures that I had taken. Love those babies!
It makes me so happy that I have Tyler's family so close. Woo Hoo!

More Pictures

Yes, she really is that beautiful
Andy shaved today after not shaving while in the hospital, and he
thought it would be fun to do something different. His Clint Eastwood look)

Well, I figured while I was here with Stella and Sterling and family, that I should take
plenty of pictures. So, I took some more tonight while Sterling had his eyes open. Then
Silly Stella being a little mischievous. She has just been cracking me up.
Tonight I watched Sterling while Melissa, Andy and Stella went to the store. He was
good the whole time. (45 min.) = )
Tonight is my last night in the King bed at the Rozmus household. But, it will be fun
to see Chadd before I go home. O.K. my thoughts are a little rambled, so I'll stop now.
Enjoy the pics.

No more hospital

So, the new baby has had his first car ride home. Stella was so happy that her parents
came home with her tonight. She has been so good, and a joy to take care of.
When they were getting Sterling ready to go, he cried a bit, and Stella was so concerned.
I think (hope) she will get used to his crying soon, cuz it's kind of sad to see her so
concerned and sad herself. Anyway, I caught a few pictures as he was on his way
out the door. The cute hat was crocheted by his aunt Anna. It's just too cute.
So, I'm off Stella duty tonight. = ( At least I have a few more days to enjoy the company
of my daughter and family.

Sterling

Well, here are the first pictures that I could get of Sterling and the family. He is a great
nurser already. It's so exciting to me. He seems very calm. Hopefully he will remain that
way. His hands are large. Taking after his Daddy. Stella has been a doll for me. She seems
to be taking to her brother o.k. So far, so good. Sweetest thing, when the nurse came
to get him she was sad to let him go out the door. Anyway, enjoy the pictures. Look
at Melissa's blog later today, cuz she's hoping to post some of their "good" pictures. Wow,
it sure is fun being a grandma!

Baby Boy Smith

He's HERE !!!!! Baby boy Smith weighed in at 8 lbs. 7 ozs. and arrived at 3:04 am
Feb. 5. Melissa called me around 11:23 pm Feb. 4 and told me her water had just
broke, and so come on over to be with Stella. I can't believe that she delivered the
baby so quickly. Makes me happy. Everyone is doing fine, and Andy and Melissa
said that he reminds them of Stella. Watch out girls, that means he's a cutie pie.
Pictures to be posted later today, after i take some. Now.......I'll go catch a few zzzzzz's

The Waiting Game

Stella popping bubbles (notice Melissa is 9 mos. + 1 day) (also the stuff on the floor was
just taken out of the storage unit that same morning. Not it's usual resting place)
At the Rozmus house after having dinner and playing STOMP.
May I add that Brandon and I have won 3 times now.

Dropping Andy off at school. (before the rental car)
Sweet smiling Stella in her car seat, showing us her usual pose
So, here I am in South Carolina, wishing and hoping and praying and dreaming......
that Melissa and Andy's baby will appear SOON !!! I only have a bit longer here, and
I want to meet this guy sooner than later. So here are some pictures of a few of my
activities, or at least who I am spending my time with while I am here.
The first day I arrived, I was whisked away to Melissa's baby shower. My flight
happened to arrive 15 minutes before the party was to start. So that made me pretty
happy. Then off to the Rozmus home where they make me feel like Royalty.
I was given the Master bedroom while Karen sleeps in the
room with her boys. (I'm feeling just a bit guilty over that one) In the mornings I go over
to Melissa's and help with little things that need to be done before the baby arrives. You
know, play with Stella while Melissa takes care of everything else. = ) In the
evenings, we head to the Rozmus' with Karen and boys. We've played games, built a
fire (much to Melissa's chagrin) and just had fun. Now that those little things are done,
it's just wait,,,,,,,,and more wait. Oh WAIT, it's only one day past the due date. I've brought
all the equipment to post pictures as soon as the bundle arrives.
So, stay tuned.

You've inspired me with your comments

Hi, You've inspired me to upload more photos. Just a few though. I ended up
scrapping 93 pages. I'm so glad I'm done!!! They were just simple layouts. That's
all I could muster up in just a few short days. So enjoy.

quick pictures of Michelle's wedding

Well, I don't have any pictures of Michelle and Clark on their wedding day, at the temple,
so I'll post a couple my cousin took, at the reception. Just so you can get a little
glimpse. I have a couple other posts I want to make, but can't get to them quite yet.
Grrrr. Soon. Anyway, here is the happy couple and also Michelle's cousin Emily, who
did the flowers for the wedding. THANKS EMILY !

Goin to the Temple and she's gonna get married

On Saturday, Dec. 20, Mel and I went with Michelle to the Newport Beach Temple. It
was so fun and neat to go through with her. She was definitely prepared and ready to
learn. Tyler and Anna were able to come also, and Andrea too. Bishop Tanuvasa and
his wife Lissa were there also. Oh, Clarks' mother came down to go through also, even
though she had a commitment in Utah. It was a good day. Now I am looking forward
to all the family there when Clark and Michelle get married on Saturday, Dec. 27th.
Funny and cute thing was that Michelle and Clark had huge grins on their faces, even
though they hadn't gotten married yet. Going through the temple together made them
pretty happy. Aaaahhhh, the sweetness of life.

Well, today was Michelle's bridal shower. Sweet Noelle planned it, and Christine Clark
let us have it at her house, and she helped Noelle out. They did such a nice job. Very
much appreciated. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported Michelle at this
very exciting time. Here are a few fun snapshots.

Today after going over with Tyler to get the keys to his new house, (a whole story in it's
own right) we came back and started decorating the tree. We got help from Grace, Anna
and Julie. Sam wanted a look also. It's amazing how fun little kids make Christmas.

I have a lot to be Thankful for

The engaged couple leaving for Clark's sisters house
Sam, before nap
The Whole group (Minus Sam who was napping)
Thanksgiving Day was a good day. We started by getting Mel back from Japan. He
drove in at around 9:20 am and started right in on the Turkey, (What a guy) and we
all got to work. Clark and Michelle went over to his sister's house and spent a few
hours with them, and then came back to spend the rest of the day with us. They
arrived at almost the same time that Ron and ReNae did. Tyler and Anna and kids
arrived earlier. It was fun to have food brought from everyone. Tyler and Anna brought crescent rolls, cranberry sauce and cream cheese pie. Ron and ReNae brought sour cream/cream cheese potatoes, cinnamon sticky rolls, fruit salad and pumpkin cake. We
took care of the turkey, stuffing, peas, corn, green bean casserole, (Andrea made it ( : },
gravy, apple pie, and pumpkin pie/whip cream. Andrea brought an apple and caramel cheesecake. That's all I can think of at this time. Some of the time we watched a movie,
we talked, Tyler, Clark and Julie played catch, with Grace on the trampoline. Ron,
ReNae, Tyler, Mel, Anna etc. sat and went through a box we'd gotten from Linda that
had lots of paraphernalia that we'd given to Eleanor and LaMar over the years.
It was fun to reminisce. I am Thankful for the time spent with Family.
