The last day in Paris, we boarded our tour bus, and headed
for the Eiffel tower. That was the one destination that we
HAD to see, and also had to go up to the second level. I
was too chicken to go to the top. It sways. Eeeek. So,
we waited in line for 2 1/2 hours, and finally got to go on
the "lift". It was so crowded. There were so many people
there. There were Bosnian women begging for money. They
were in a very organized group. Spread all around Paris.
Then there were African men selling Eiffel Tower trinkets.
It was crazy.
After we were done there, we went and bought a crepe by
the Seine River and took a boat cruise. It was fun to see the
city at a different angle. We took notice of the bridges, which
are all different. When we were done with the cruise, we headed
back to our hotel and got our luggage and hopped on the Metro
to go to the Train station. The train station was overflowing.
It was freakish how many people were there. It was so crowded
that when people came up the escalator, it was so jam packed
that there was no place for the people coming up, to go. I kept
hearing screams. It was scary. Mel said he felt like he was in
Instanbul, or India. We finally figured out where our train was,
boarded, and headed back to Lausanne, Switzerland for the rest
of our trip. Paris was a nice place to visit, but I was ready to
head out. Especially after the experience at the train station.

Great pictures. It looks like it was a nice clear day in Paris for your Eiffel tower trip...convenient. I agree about Paris...it's a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't want to stay there long. It was FREEZING cold when we were there the first time. Seriously, I don't think I was EVER that cold, even in Canada. There was a freakishly cold wind that was blowing, right through your body.Ugh.
These are super cool pics! The one on the street in paris where your hotel was looks a little like charleston. Funny. ALl of those things are so neat. It is crazy how intricate everything is over there. I hope Karen sees all of these. She would love it. Anyway, those are cool pics, you should have dad help you remember what they all were and write it down so you can remember.
