It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas

Today after going over with Tyler to get the keys to his new house, (a whole story in it's
own right) we came back and started decorating the tree. We got help from Grace, Anna
and Julie. Sam wanted a look also. It's amazing how fun little kids make Christmas.

I have a lot to be Thankful for

The engaged couple leaving for Clark's sisters house

The Whole group (Minus Sam who was napping)
Thanksgiving Day was a good day. We started by getting Mel back from Japan. He
drove in at around 9:20 am and started right in on the Turkey, (What a guy) and we
all got to work. Clark and Michelle went over to his sister's house and spent a few
hours with them, and then came back to spend the rest of the day with us. They
arrived at almost the same time that Ron and ReNae did. Tyler and Anna and kids
arrived earlier. It was fun to have food brought from everyone. Tyler and Anna brought crescent rolls, cranberry sauce and cream cheese pie. Ron and ReNae brought sour cream/cream cheese potatoes, cinnamon sticky rolls, fruit salad and pumpkin cake. We
took care of the turkey, stuffing, peas, corn, green bean casserole, (Andrea made it ( : },
gravy, apple pie, and pumpkin pie/whip cream. Andrea brought an apple and caramel cheesecake. That's all I can think of at this time. Some of the time we watched a movie,
we talked, Tyler, Clark and Julie played catch, with Grace on the trampoline. Ron,
ReNae, Tyler, Mel, Anna etc. sat and went through a box we'd gotten from Linda that
had lots of paraphernalia that we'd given to Eleanor and LaMar over the years.
It was fun to reminisce. I am Thankful for the time spent with Family.

Happy B-day Melvy

Wow, I've been blogging for over a year now. I remember posting about Mel's birthday
last year. And of course I'd made him a very original cake. ha ha ha. I'm famous for that.
Well this year, I made the cake but then had to run and help Andrea move some stuff, so
I had Julie take the cake out, and she ended up decorating it. It turned out cute. For
dinner, we went to Lucille's barbecue. Mmmm, good. We ran into several people from
church afterwards. Stevensons, Tanners, Roberts. Fun times. = ) Anyway, here is what
we gave to my sweet hubby on his birthday.

A two day birthday bash for Julie's 16th

The two heads--Jackie and Katie, Ameeda, Samantha, Julie, Marissa

Well, Julie reminded me that I haven't been real consistent with making sure she has
a birthday with a party, every year. Or even every couple of years. So for her 16th
birthday (which was 2 1/2 months ago) she said she'd like to go indoor skydiving. So
being the very understanding and sweet mother that I am...hee hee, I take her and
a few friends indoor skydiving. It was the first time for everyone. Now, before that,
we had a sleepover on Saturday night. They watched movies and played games and
slept on the trampoline. They had a great time.
Now, being the sweet great Mom that I am.....I let Clark and Michelle join in on the
indoor skydiving......I know, I know....unbelievably nice. = ) Then after the adventure,
we went and ate at Hard Rock cafe. Then I took those who had Disney passes to Disney
for a few hours. I think that's really packing it in. But that's what you do when you are

Yes on Prop 8 rally

Michelle, Clark and Julie

Wow, what a turn out we had at a busy intersection of our city. We were out incouraging
yes on Prop 8. I just wish that people realized that we don't "hate", we just feel that
marriage should remain between a man and a woman. Here are some pictures of the
action today.

Here's a picture of the Halloween group that Julie got together with last night. She
had to cheer at the football game, so there was no trick or treating in store for her.
But they found a way to have fun. We have Dorothy--a.k.a Samantha, Tin woMAN--
a.k.a Julie, The Scarecrow--a.k.a. Katie and the Cowardly Lion--a.k.a Jackie. The
guys sit with them at lunch, and the one with his face painted played in the football
game last night. WE WON.

Michelle and Clark dressed up as space men/woman. I'll have to post a picture when
I get it.
