The Jet Setters

This weekend we were lucky enough to have Michelle and Andrea come home. Michelle was a
bridesmaid for Leslie F. and Andrea figured that if Michelle were coming home, she would too.
LOVED IT! It feels like it was a whirlwind, since they didn't get in till late Friday night, and had to leave at 4:45 this afternoon (Sunday) But today we had Tyler and Anna and Grace over, and Kendall, a friend of Michelle's. Mel cooked steak, baked potatoes, vegees, (3 kinds) and brownies for dessert. YUM. Anyway, here is a picture of a few of our visitors before they were whisked away to the airport.

Homecoming Game

The spectators, ready to cheer Julie on

Alaine, Julie and Shannon

Tonight was the homecoming game and Julie got to cheer at it. They let J.V cheer at a couple of games during the year, and this was one of them. It was especially fun because my sister Denise
and her daughters, and my parents and my neice Alaine were all here for a visit and they got to cheer Julie on. We won the game 29-0. Woo Hoo!!! Watching Julie on the field cheering kind of
brings little twinges of melancholy thoughts, and it makes me think of my other two daughters and all the games we watched them cheer at. Awwwwww. Anyway, Julie looks pretty darn good out there. = )

Grace's birthday party

Here is Grace wearing her mommy's shoes
This is Grace trying to blow out her candle. She'd been practicing
for days.

Tonight we went over to Tyler, Anna and Grace's to celebrate Grace's second birthday. What fun. She was so darn cute the whole night. My niece Courtney and family were there also. Their daughter Jocelyn and Grace had a good time together. I loved seeing Grace be so sweet, and nice, and funny. Mel and I are going to have a lot to reminisce about these next few weeks, before we see her again. I tell ya, being a grandparent is a lot more fun then I ever thought it would be. I didn't think anything could beat being a MOTHER!

The morning after

We had several girls stay over last night after the dance, and I wish that I'd thought to take a picture of them before they all left. Just so you could see them the "morning after". After they'd "let their hair down", literally and figuratively. = ) But here are the girls that were here
when I took the picture. I found out that the girls that went to the dance together, eat lunch together at school. They seem to be pretty good girls. YEA !!!! Anyway, my sweet hubby got up and made breakfast burrito's for all of them. Then later, they went out and jumped on my trampoline long enough to break several springs. Julie tried to warn them not to all get on there, but being teenagers, they didn't listen. Oh well, even with the broken trampoline, it was
a fun time.

And the winner is.........

If you click on the picture, you can see the pictures bigger,
and see which shoes she picked.

Julie LOVED the shoe with the bow. She probably would have worn those, but her good sense picked the other pair, because the one on the right was half the price, and it had a cuter heel. = )
So here she is all decked out and ready to go. I think she looks beautiful.

Which ones would you choose?

Well, tonight is the homecoming dance at the high school. Julie found 1 pair of shoes she thought were perfect. Then we checked this other store, just for the fun of it, and found another pair of shoes that were nice also. Which shoes would you have chosen? I'll get a picture with the whole outfit on, then you can see which shoes Julie chose. Leave your answer under the comment section.
