The Way We Were

The other night I got the bright idea of scanning in all my wedding pictures so I could get them put onto a disc and maybe preserve them a little better. So I was a scanning maniac for a night
but got them all done. Now I need to start in on all my kids baby pictures, and pictures from school. That oughtta be fun, right??

3 cheers for Julie

Tonight at the Varsity football game, the little girls who came to a junior cheer camp (a fundraiser for the high school cheerleaders) got to cheer, and so they needed the J.V. girls

help in bringing the little girls on the field. So, Julie got to cheer at her first Varsity game. At least the first half. It was fun because two girls from our ward were junior cheer camp girls. One of them had a blast with Julie. It was Mel and my first game back after a long hiatus. We've got a 2 week break before homecoming game, where Julie will be cheering again. Wish my older two could come join her. = )

Who had more fun?

The other night, Tyler won tickets to the Angels game with preferred parking and great seats. He took Anna, and we (Mel, Julie and I) got to baby-sit Grace. I'm not sure who had more fun. Maybe we each got the kind of fun we wanted.

Can you really trust these things?

Well, I thought doing the my heritage thing would be really fun to do, but in doing so I see that they aren't super duper accurate. The only child that showed up once
as looking a little more like her Dad, was Michelle. But then I put in a straight shot of her face, and it showed up a lot like me. Then I tried again, and the percentages keep changing. Then if you look at Melissa's, she looks 5% more like me, then 52% more, depending on the picture. So, take it for what it's worth. I do believe that my children have a little more of me in them. But the mixture is what made them so great!

Michelle finishing up her first half marathon

Well, Michelle did it. She ran her first half marathon. This was her first marathon of any type.
Mel, Julie and I were there to cheer her on. Sad part was, it was so hot and even muggy, that
I felt like I'd run the marathon, and I was just standing there in the sun for 45 minutes. I'm just so glad that she made it, and she looked great at the finish line. She and her friend/roommate
Noelle both ran. Now they are both on their way back to College. Starts tomorrow. Oh to be young again.

Sept. 1 dove hunting

They had a great time. Too bad it was during our "mini" heat wave.
