quick pictures of Michelle's wedding

Well, I don't have any pictures of Michelle and Clark on their wedding day, at the temple,
so I'll post a couple my cousin took, at the reception. Just so you can get a little
glimpse. I have a couple other posts I want to make, but can't get to them quite yet.
Grrrr. Soon. Anyway, here is the happy couple and also Michelle's cousin Emily, who
did the flowers for the wedding. THANKS EMILY !

Goin to the Temple and she's gonna get married

On Saturday, Dec. 20, Mel and I went with Michelle to the Newport Beach Temple. It
was so fun and neat to go through with her. She was definitely prepared and ready to
learn. Tyler and Anna were able to come also, and Andrea too. Bishop Tanuvasa and
his wife Lissa were there also. Oh, Clarks' mother came down to go through also, even
though she had a commitment in Utah. It was a good day. Now I am looking forward
to all the family there when Clark and Michelle get married on Saturday, Dec. 27th.
Funny and cute thing was that Michelle and Clark had huge grins on their faces, even
though they hadn't gotten married yet. Going through the temple together made them
pretty happy. Aaaahhhh, the sweetness of life.

Well, today was Michelle's bridal shower. Sweet Noelle planned it, and Christine Clark
let us have it at her house, and she helped Noelle out. They did such a nice job. Very
much appreciated. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported Michelle at this
very exciting time. Here are a few fun snapshots.

Today after going over with Tyler to get the keys to his new house, (a whole story in it's
own right) we came back and started decorating the tree. We got help from Grace, Anna
and Julie. Sam wanted a look also. It's amazing how fun little kids make Christmas.

I have a lot to be Thankful for

The engaged couple leaving for Clark's sisters house
Sam, before nap
The Whole group (Minus Sam who was napping)
Thanksgiving Day was a good day. We started by getting Mel back from Japan. He
drove in at around 9:20 am and started right in on the Turkey, (What a guy) and we
all got to work. Clark and Michelle went over to his sister's house and spent a few
hours with them, and then came back to spend the rest of the day with us. They
arrived at almost the same time that Ron and ReNae did. Tyler and Anna and kids
arrived earlier. It was fun to have food brought from everyone. Tyler and Anna brought crescent rolls, cranberry sauce and cream cheese pie. Ron and ReNae brought sour cream/cream cheese potatoes, cinnamon sticky rolls, fruit salad and pumpkin cake. We
took care of the turkey, stuffing, peas, corn, green bean casserole, (Andrea made it ( : },
gravy, apple pie, and pumpkin pie/whip cream. Andrea brought an apple and caramel cheesecake. That's all I can think of at this time. Some of the time we watched a movie,
we talked, Tyler, Clark and Julie played catch, with Grace on the trampoline. Ron,
ReNae, Tyler, Mel, Anna etc. sat and went through a box we'd gotten from Linda that
had lots of paraphernalia that we'd given to Eleanor and LaMar over the years.
It was fun to reminisce. I am Thankful for the time spent with Family.

Happy B-day Melvy

Wow, I've been blogging for over a year now. I remember posting about Mel's birthday
last year. And of course I'd made him a very original cake. ha ha ha. I'm famous for that.
Well this year, I made the cake but then had to run and help Andrea move some stuff, so
I had Julie take the cake out, and she ended up decorating it. It turned out cute. For
dinner, we went to Lucille's barbecue. Mmmm, good. We ran into several people from
church afterwards. Stevensons, Tanners, Roberts. Fun times. = ) Anyway, here is what
we gave to my sweet hubby on his birthday.

A two day birthday bash for Julie's 16th

The two heads--Jackie and Katie, Ameeda, Samantha, Julie, Marissa

Well, Julie reminded me that I haven't been real consistent with making sure she has
a birthday with a party, every year. Or even every couple of years. So for her 16th
birthday (which was 2 1/2 months ago) she said she'd like to go indoor skydiving. So
being the very understanding and sweet mother that I am...hee hee, I take her and
a few friends indoor skydiving. It was the first time for everyone. Now, before that,
we had a sleepover on Saturday night. They watched movies and played games and
slept on the trampoline. They had a great time.
Now, being the sweet great Mom that I am.....I let Clark and Michelle join in on the
indoor skydiving......I know, I know....unbelievably nice. = ) Then after the adventure,
we went and ate at Hard Rock cafe. Then I took those who had Disney passes to Disney
for a few hours. I think that's really packing it in. But that's what you do when you are

Yes on Prop 8 rally

Michelle, Clark and Julie

Wow, what a turn out we had at a busy intersection of our city. We were out incouraging
yes on Prop 8. I just wish that people realized that we don't "hate", we just feel that
marriage should remain between a man and a woman. Here are some pictures of the
action today.

Here's a picture of the Halloween group that Julie got together with last night. She
had to cheer at the football game, so there was no trick or treating in store for her.
But they found a way to have fun. We have Dorothy--a.k.a Samantha, Tin woMAN--
a.k.a Julie, The Scarecrow--a.k.a. Katie and the Cowardly Lion--a.k.a Jackie. The
guys sit with them at lunch, and the one with his face painted played in the football
game last night. WE WON.

Michelle and Clark dressed up as space men/woman. I'll have to post a picture when
I get it.

Stumped

Darn, it's too late and I have been sick, so I can't think of a catchy title for this post.
Plus, I'll be jamming three different thoughts into one. First off, Had a great time
visiting my darling daughter and her family in S. Carolina. I'd love to expound. Maybe
later. Then Michelle got engaged recently, and we will be planning a wedding for Dec.
27. These holidays will sure be different. Then Tyler and family got the home they
bid on. Woo Hoo. Lets see if I can conjure up a few photo's. Good night.

Up, Up and Away

Wow, I'm back home, but not for long. I'll be making another trip to see Melissa. It feels busy. My mail gets piled up, and things just don't get done. Eeek. But I had a nice time with my Mom, Dad and family, for my Mom and her twin's birthday. Had nice visits with my sis and family. It's nice to be home too, but will enjoy seeing Melissa and family. I don't like the fact that I have to fly to get there, but at least it's fast. And with all the flying, I am getting a little (just a very little) less anxious when I fly.
O.K. what pictures do I have to share? Julie's first rally of the year. Julie's first
varsity football game, and Julie's homecoming group. Hmmm, do you feel a common
theme here? = ) O.K. here they are.

Michelle got to go back to her high school Alma Mater. A couple
of teachers thought she was Melissa.

Chop Chop

Hmm, that almost sounds like a cooking show, but actually, I am posting about my
haircut. My girls love how good it looks, because after it was cut, the stylist blew it
dry, which takes my "frizz" out. I'm wondering if I should go occasionally to have
it done, so that I'd look "de-frizzed" here and there. So, here it is. Ta Da !!

BAM !! End of Summer/In with the new school year

Tyler and Sam

Shoot, Summer is gone, and we are back in the grind of school. We were so busy this
summer, especially Julie, that time just flew. Darn it, I like summer. I don't want it
to be over. Oh well, I'm not in control. = ) Anyway, the last 5 days before school
started, Julie, Michelle and I went to our favorite beach. Thank heavens, Lorna
was there with some of her family, so it made it a little more exciting. Then Anna and
kids came, along with Mel, then Tyler joined us on Friday. Anyway, we've
had a full wonderful summer, lots of great memories, and tonight is Julie's first Varsity
game we are headed for. So we are in full swing. Here are a few pictures from the
beach.

My baby turns 16

Spending some time at the beach on Julie's b-day
Flowers and goodies from C. D.

Well, I knew the day would come when my youngest child would turn 16. WOW...
Dang....It's kind of crazy too though. Time just keeps on marching along. But you
know, it's wonderful also. Would we really want to raise children FOREVER????
The different stages are just too much fun to watch. To see them grow, and learn.
So, here's to my youngest. Happy turning 16. With so much love, MOM

Funny blooper vacation pictures

Didn't realize what I'd captured here, till after the fact
YIKES !

Alaine and Julie singing on the bed. Better than jumping on it.

Last night I was waiting up for Julie, and I looked through my pictures and saw some
pretty funny "blooper" shots. So, I thought I'd post a few for your viewing pleasure.
Knowing full well, that they are probably the most funny to Me. Oh well......
